I think most of us will agree that we did not see the Patriots winning when they were trailing 28-3. Even the most loyal fans were left wondering if it could be done. According to ESPN Stats and Information, there were 20 different points in the Super Bowl when the Falcons had a 99% or better chance of winning.
It would be easy to say ‘they got lucky’ or ‘nine times out of ten that comeback would not have happened’. But it did happen; they were resilient and faithful in their abilities. Sprinkle in a few situations where the ball took a ‘Patriot bounce’ or the Falcons made a bad decision and you have the recipe for the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history.
This amazing comeback is an awesome life lesson: never give up! No matter the odds, the circumstances, or the road ahead you never give up. Keep fighting, put one foot in front of the other and never doubt your abilities. A champion always give himself a chance. Even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds you keep fighting until the end.
If you have unwavering faith in your ability, ignore the noise, and keep grinding away, you put yourself in a position to win. Hey, who knows, you may even become a legend.
“Never give in– never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to the convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.” – Winston Churchill
